We live “Thinking Beyond Computing”
The GIP Research Institute pursues research and development under the mission “Thinking Beyond Computing – intelligent solutions for a networked world“.
Our aim is called innovation – implemented by the development of new methods, services and solutions for the construction and operation of intelligent nets, so-called “Smart Networks”. Smart Networks are convergent, intelligent nets of the future, as for example IP-based networks in the telecommunication (Next generation Networks, Future Internet) or Smart Grids and electric mobility nets in the energy sector.
On the basis of the research and development gained in the Research Institute, GIP develops and sells these solutions in the form of products (Xyna Factory) and consulting services. Currently, the main focuses lies on the investigation of the following topics:
