The source of innovation

In the GIP Research Labs new technologies, methods and systems are examined, tested and developed. From aspects of the man-machine-interaction up to network protocols and configurations of single net elements, the GIP Research Fellows and other employees of the GIP deal with the future of communication.

FutureLab XOLLX | XynaTec Lab | SmartCom Lab

FutureLab XOLLX

The FutureLab XOLLX examines all aspects of the users experience, so all aspects of the interaction of the person with our software systems. Aim is the development of intelligent concepts for modern, attractive and user-friendly user interfaces, Self Care applications and other man-machine-interfaces.

XynaTec

The XynaTec Lab is the engineering department for the Xyna Factory. Central working object is the investigation and transformation of successful concepts from industrial production (e.g., fractal factory architecture, JIT manufacturing, lean management). In addition, concepts and methods are developed for high availability and scalability of the Xyna installations.

SmartCom

With progressive convergence of fixed network and cellular mobile telephony as well as the upcoming Future Internet, new technologies, services and protocols are developed for net communication whose potentials are examined for Xyna and possibilities in the project application in the SmartCom Lab. A part of SmartCom is the NGN lab of the GIP Research Institute.
