With Xyna Factory 4.0 and the new Xyna Topology Modeller GIP presents at the ANGA Cable an innovative and IPv6 capable OSS solution for service provider and carrier.
The future of the Internet with Smart Home, Unified Communication and Collaboration (UCC) and adaptable client’s products is very demanding on OSS systems. Beside new technologies like IPv6, DHCPv6, TR-069 and SIP service and Device Provisioning have to be adapted on new products and efficient production concepts.
With Xyna Factory 4.0 and the new Xyna Topology Modeller GIP developed an industrial production facility for the telecommunication industry, which is based on concepts and methods of the worldwide most successful manufacturing industry: the German car industry.
Based on Xyna Factory 4.0 technical processes, e.g., the configuration of IP-Phones behind a home gateway can be modeled graphically and automated in an efficient workflow engine with comprehensive protocol support. Successful methods from the flexible process manufacturing are used for the workflow control and the process optimization.
The Xyna Topology Modeller serves as a complementary CAD tool (Computer-aided design) for the service engineering within the model-based development, Provisioning and dynamic net configuration of IP-based communication services. Thus the Topology Modeller differs from conventional tools for the visualization of net topologies, e.g., from the areas Assurance or network management.
With Xyna providers are put into the situation to react fast and agile to new technologies and market standards. Overlay structures, IP services and interfaces are developed in the Xyna Topology Modeller and can be automated immediately in the workflow engine of the Xyna Factory 4.0.
The GIP presents Xyna Factory 4.0 and the Xyna Topology Modeller from the 3rd to the 5th of May on their exhibition booth on the ANGA Cable in 2011.
Since 2008 Xyna is in use as a central OSS system at Kabel BW.
In tests and comparisons the quality and efficiency of the NGN connections provisioned with Xyna is convincing over and over again– e.g. in the connect-NGN-Test*: with outstanding data rates with quick package lead time, high quality of the phone connections and quick dial-up Kabel BW could score in all categories.
