Support of the German contest for young scientists “Jugend forscht“
We support Jugend forscht, the nationwide talent competition, which promotes the special achievements of young scientists and researchers aged between 15 and 21 years in the fields of natural sciences, mathematics and technology.
The involvement of GIP (sponsoring and supply of jury members) in the competition has its origins in the extraordinarily high rate of successful participants in our employees (10%). This reflects the high scientific and technical demands of GIP.
Employees’ involvement in the J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge
Regularly a GIP team participates in the J.P.Morgan Corporate Challenge. With the help of this largest corporate run through downtown Frankfurt a variety of social projects is encouraged.
Federal Association Smart City (Bundesverband Smart City e.V.)
As an institutional member of the Federal Association Smart City (Bundesverband Smart City e.V.), GIP intends to actively help forming Germany’s energy turnaround towards renewable energy production and storage.
From GIP’s point of view, the concept of the intelligent city of the future – the Smart City – will take on greater significance during the next few years. Especially the sustainable, renewable and intelligent supply of the Smart Cities is of high environmental and socio-political importance.
Sponsoring of the regional youth sports clubs
Since 2011, GIP sponsors the youth soccer department of MTV 1817 Mainz. This support renders the sports club a significant improvement of its equipment.
Carrier of the quality sign “Fair Company”
With the quality sign Fair Company companies are honored, which deny the xploitation of the “generation internship” and support the fair treatment of interns in their company. “Fair Company” is an initiative of the job and business magazine “Karriere”, a portal of “Handelsblatt “ and “Wirtschaftswoche”.
Environmentally friendly office building
The geothermal system of the building allows an effective and environmentally friendly heating and cooling of our offices. Using boreholes, heat is produced and distributed in the building. This is supported by an optimized insulation, special windows and the efficiency architecture of the building.
Support of the Clown-Doctors
For many years, GIP regularly supports the Clown Doktoren e.V. with a donation. These donations enable the clown doctors to make annual visits to about 900 children in children’s hospitals. With these visits, the children’s stay in hospital should be made as little traumatic as possible and it should help them with their recovery process.
In addition, GIP also regularly supports the regional and national activities, clubs or artists
With support from GIP as a sponsor of the SC Neptun 1894 e.V. Alzey in October 2007 through a charity swimming event, donations for refugees in the Darfur region could be collected.
In August 2007, GIP sponsored the vernissage and exhibition of the graphic designer, illustrator and visual artist Joachim Holz from Mainz, which was opened as part of the Intermezzo series of the art club “Eisenturm Mainz e.V.”. A permanent exhibition of selected works by Joachim Holz can be viewed in the premises of GIP.
Furthermore, GIP belongs to the friends and supporters of the Waldkindergarten Mainz. Within the scope of this commitment, GIP gave the kindergarten a donated item.
