GIP AG takes the protection of your personal data very seriously and complies with the rules of data protection, in particular with the provisions of the EU General Data Protection Regulation (DS-GVO). Personal data is only processed if the data subject has consented or if another law permits or requires the processing. Personal data includes all information that can be used to determine your person and which can be traced back to you - for example, your name, e-mail address and telephone number.
If you have given your consent to the processing of your data, you can informally revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future.
Information about the collection of personal data
Our website is designed as a purely informational medium, which does not aim to collect personal data. We do, however, publish our contact details so that you can get in touch with us on your own initiative.
If you contact us using the contact options offered, your details will be stored so that they can be used to process and respond to your inquiry. We delete this stored data after the storage is no longer necessary or restrict the processing if there are legal obligations to retain data. The basis for this data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DS-GVO, your consent. Without your consent, this data will not be passed on to third parties.
For technical reasons, however, the following data, among others, which your Internet browser transmits to us or to our web space provider, is recorded (so-called server log files):
- IP address
- Date and time of the request
- Time zone difference to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT)
- Content of the request (specific page)
- Access status/HTTP status code
- Amount of data transferred in each case
- Website from which the request comes
- Operating system and its interface
- language and version of the browser software.
This data is not merged with other data sources. The basis of the data processing is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f DS-GVO, our legitimate interest.
For security reasons and to protect the transmission, our website uses SSL or TLS encryption. This means that data that you transmit via this website cannot be read by third parties. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the "https://" address line of your browser and the lock symbol in the browser line.
Use of Matomo Web Analytics
On this website, data is collected and stored using the web analytics service Matomo, https://matomo.org/, a service of the provider InnoCraft Ltd, 150 Willis St, 6011 Wellington, New Zealand, ("Matomo") on the basis of our legitimate interest in the statistical analysis of user behavior for optimization and marketing purposes pursuant to Art. 6 (1) lit. f DSGVO. Anonymous user profiles can be created and evaluated from this data for the same purpose.
The data collected using Matomo technology (including your anonymized IP address) is processed on our servers and is not passed on to the manufacturer of the software or to third parties. The information collected in the anonymous user profile is not used to personally identify the visitor to this website and is not merged with other personal data.
If you do not agree with the storage and evaluation of this data from your visit, then you can object to the storage and use at any time by clicking on the mouse below. In this case, a so-called opt-out cookie will be stored in your browser, which means that Matomo will not collect any session data. Please note that the complete deletion of your cookies means that the opt-out cookie is also deleted and may have to be reactivated by you.
Alternatively, most modern browsers have a so-called "Do Not Track" option, which tells websites not to track your user activity. Matomo respects this option.
